Throughout my time at Polytechnic School I have transcended my role as Director of Technology into a community and school leader through a deep involvement in all aspects of the school’s programs and campus life. Direct impact and influences include:

 

Designing and Developing Middle School STEAM and DEI curricula.

Connecting with students as a Middle School Advisor and STEAM teacher, Lower School “Panther Pod” leader, and Middle School Asian, Pacific Islander, and South Asian Affinity (APISA) Group facilitator.

Fostering creative, collaborative, and analytic skills in students as the Middle School First Lego League Robotics, SeaPerch, and Science Olympiad coach.

Guiding students in their appreciation of nature and their place in the world as a Middle and Upper School Outdoor Education program trip leader and chaperone.

Key to my success as an administrator, I have helped build and develop a culture of stewardship and innovation among my team and colleagues, and advanced the school’s mission and vision. I have a breadth and depth of skills and accomplishments including:


Transforming the school’s technology infrastructure and classroom technologies over 16 years..

Cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and stewardship among the students and colleagues through the creation of the innovation studio and various professional development and STEAM and design-based thinking classes and offerings.

Collaborating on the development of various school wide initiatives to further accessibility and opportunities for digital and hybrid teaching and learning, DEI committee work and curricular review, and health and safety..

Managing technology throughout the school through strategic vision and fiscal planning, and achieving on par or excelling market standards with modest annual budgetary increases.

Empowering students, faculty and staff with the tools and knowledge to be relevant and effective learners and educators in the 21st century by supporting ongoing professional development and a collaborative approach to the adoption and exploration of new ideas.

Leading the development of strategic plans and visions for the application of technology.
