Preparing for the Tour de Foothills
Let me start by saying that I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. An old friend from high school turned me on to the Tour de Foothills and I signed up rather gregariously. It's a ride, not a race, and spans a metric century (62 miles). I've ridden a couple of 30 milers and done countless 26 milers, but nowhere near 62 miles. Needless to say I am hoping to embrace a slow pace, and rely on my base fitness. Here's my current checklist:
Bike, check
Shoes, check
Helmet, check
Gloves, check
Water, check
Gels and bars, check
Extra tube, check
SANITY CHECK?!.... (someone? anyone?)
